ワシントンDC出身で、今はニューヨークのブルックリンを拠点に。作詞作曲から歌までをひとりでこなす、シンガー兼プロデューサー。女の子らしいドリーミーで感性豊かなスタイルながら、スピリチュアルで男勝りな実験性さえ兼ね備えた本物志向。
Waajeedから大絶賛され、次期PPPのメイン・シンガーとして検討されていたこともあるほど。その後噂はニューヨークで広まり、今ではDJ SpinnaからHi-Tek、88 KeysやGe-Ologyなど、ニューヨークの一流プロデューサーたちからサポートを受けている。他、Meshell NdegeocelloやRaheem DeVaughnらと共演。Little Brother『Get Back』ではプロデューサーとして参加している。また、Sa-RaのOmmas Keith、Oddisee、kev Brownらとも制作している。
デビュー自主制作ではBilal Salaamが参加。2007年11月に米iTunesのみで先行リリース『day.break EP』は、同週リリース全タイトル中20位を獲得。The Roots主宰オーケイプレイヤーは『ヒップホップの影響を受けたロータリー・コネクション』と例えて大絶賛。Benji Bは英BBC番組中で特集を組むなど大きな評判となった。
